I was a little angry when I wrote my original post. I generally don't post unless I think it's important or somebody has the facts wrong. To answer your questions, the evidence is in, as everybody knows how Becky distributed the money. Most of the remaining 1 1/2 % went to her regular employees. People like valet parkers, a cook ($800) who is Nick and Benny's favorite, countroom, cage cashiers and supervisors, security, buffet personnel, etc. A total of 600 plus regular Horseshoe employee's were given a piece of the remaining 1 1/2. This also includes $2000 bonuses for department heads. My father and sister were each given a toke envelope for $2000. Myself, Tom Elias, Tom Albert and Carol Trimble were each given a toke envelope for $1750. Total paid out for "immediate tournament personnel" was between $30,000 & $40,000, out of $274,000. (Refer to Linda Johnson's post about her conversation she had with Becky Behnun, in which the wording "immediate tournament personnel was used"). All of us worked 350 hours or more in a 30 day period. We were paid a flat salary, which didn't include overtime. This is not adequate compensation for the amount of work. Hell, the brush people made almost as much as we did! I don't have a problem with other employee's receiving a piece of the pie so to speak, but they surely shouldn't receive the majority of the money. It definitely wasn't distributed based on what they contributed to the actual tournament itself or based on job responsibilities. If the Behnun family wants to give bonuses to regular employee's, why don't they give it to them on check, out of their pockets, like every other business in the world does? Or maybe they should take some of the Blackjack dealers tip money, the Poker dealers tip money, the Crap dealers tip money and the Baccarat dealers tip money to give out as bonuses? All the above pool their tips, except poker, so it shouldn't be to hard to go in and take some of their money to dispurse to the other departments that normally don't receive tips and may be needing a bonus. What do you think? I mean, they already took some the poker dealers money to use as bonuses. How do feel about that? You want them to take some more of your money, instead of paying out of pocket like their suppose to? As far as Nick goes, to coin a saying "I didn't know he drank until I seen him sober one day!" Tom Elias and I were both about third in authority as far the tournament hierarchy went this year. I was going to keep this short. Oh well. Like I said, I was a little angry when I wrote the first post, so I may have come off a little strong.
